How CineParty collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: July 2026
When you create or join a CineParty room, we collect basic account details if you sign up (such as email address), room activity (room codes, join/leave times), and technical data like device type and browser, used to keep playback in sync.
CineParty uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the app is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
CineParty syncs playback on top of services you already use, like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, and HBO Max. We don't access your credentials for those services; sync works by mirroring playback controls, not by logging into your accounts.
Room chat and activity are retained only for as long as needed to operate the room, unless you're on a plan that includes saved room history. Account data is kept until you delete your account.
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or request deletion at any time by contacting us through the Contact page.
We'll update this page if our practices change, and note the date at the top so you can see when it was last revised.
